Tech
Today was another amazing day at tech. This time in Metal Work with Mr Naicker I was able to move on from sanding down my handle and polishing it. I was able to get it nice and smooth ready to put the actual cake server part on. Although before I do that I have to let the polish on the handle dry so that handle doesn't stain.

Blog Post Data Analysis.
Today I have made a DLO about my blog post analysis throughout the years. I think throughout my digital years I am really proud of what I have achieved. In my first year of using a device was really exciting. I was very proud of what I had achieved. I was able to get 186 in my first year! My DLO explains why the results are like this and how I could of improved. If you would like to find out the rest of the results they can be found on my DLO above.

Stretching a sentence.
This week ls2 made a dlo / poster about stretching a sentence. I found stretching a sentence very interesting because it taught me so much and it gave my sentences so many detail and depth to it. In my DLO I made my own sentence and stretched it using the 5w's and h.

DARE : Consequences of a bad choice.
Yesterday one of the police officers came over to talk about drugs, cigarettes and alcohol. I have made an awareness poster about why you shouldn't over dose on drugs or alcohol because there could be some serious consequences...

Kiwi Can
Yesterday at Kiwi Can we learnt about Negotiation and our new topic is Cooperation. Negotiation is kind of like having an argument because you are fighting over two or more ideas. I would negotiate if I was drawing with multiple people, because I am more used to drawing by myself and thinking of my own creative ideas. Although sometimes I can mix my idea with someone else and make a even better idea then before! The first game we played was to follow someone but you have to try stay under cover and then you have to guess who was following you... The next game was magic shoes. One person had to take another person to the other side and so that person has magic shoes and they have to go back and bring there team to the other side. Although you had to carry them across without getting them to touch the ground. My team was able to win!

Fair Trade
Last week's task for reading for my group (Rakino) was to first read a story called Fair Chocolate. In this story, we learnt about what a fair trade company is, how the fair trade chocolate company gets their cacao beans, and how the chocolate companies can help the cacao farmers live better. After we'd read the story we then needed to have a learning conversation with each other on different questions regarding the story and things in it. The next thing we needed to do was create a DLO about what fair trade companies are.

Phasing out plastic waste.
Currently plastic waste can be found commonly worldwide.
It spreads throughout our oceans, gets dumped in landfills
or spreads across our land. Did you know that plastic has toxins
that could spread and harm our environment? Because
of this our air will be polluted while some of our wild life will
get sick or die.

or spreads across our land. Did you know that plastic has toxins
that could spread and harm our environment? Because
of this our air will be polluted while some of our wild life will
get sick or die.
When our plastic waste spreads throughout our oceans and land,
some animals will see this as food. Most marine animals think that
plastic bags are jellyfish! Or, in other cases animals will get stuck
in plastic waste and die because they won’t be able to get
untangled and free. Although, if we start to use plastic that
we can re use this could change and help our environment.

If we started using plastic that we would use over and over
again then this could decrease the amount of animals that
would die. We could use long lasting bags, reusable containers
and reusable water bottles. Not only will this help our
environments but this also will be good for us too!

So it would be great to make a change and use reusable
plastic instead. Although, sadly because of our current
actions scientists predicted that if we keep littering their
will be more waste in our ocean than fish in the middle of
the century!

After LS2 finished our writing samples we all got in pairs to check each other writing samples. Victoria and I checked each others writing samples with the LS2 Rubric. We did this to spot each others imperfections and to decide what level we were at. We gave each other our opinions and thoughts in the table columns above to share our information and the things we spotted in each others writing samples.

Tech
Today at tech was amazing. Group B year 8's continued filling down there handles for either making a pizza cutter or a cake server. Although some people started to sand there art down with sand paper. The sides are now all smoothed out and I am going to start to sand my handle down to make it smoother.
