Day 7: 21 Winter learning journey BONUS. Thank you... LAST ACTIVITY.

This Winter learning journey has been fun and kept me learning throughout the holidays too! I have learnt about Our own land and famous people in New Zealand too. Our history is great and people in New Zealand will keep it going too like our past Kiwis. This teaches me more about New Zealand. Did you also know that a girl sailed across the pacific alone ! I did not know that so I find this very interesting and she was a New Zealander. On my blog you can read and see all my work. This journey was my favourite out of all the ones I have done!!! Thank you so much Rachel for making this happen. We learn more even in the holidays. I hope you keep making more journeys ! :) Have a wonderful holiday everyone !




Today I wrote a description about the Winter learning journey! This was super fun but this is the last activity. Also this was another bonus! I had so much fun doing these activity and learning more. Day 7. 20 Winter learning journey. Relaxing.

 Today I took a picture of me and my drawing. This activity we had to chose something that is relaxing and take a picture of us doing the thing that you chose was relaxing, I hope you like it :)

Day 7 : 19 Winter learning journey. Rubbish in New Zealand.

today I made a google draw about how to make people pick up rubbish in New Zealand. New Zealand is our home and a wonderful place to go so please take care of it. This is our  only earth and god cant make another earth because it will never be the same as today... I hope you like it  :)

Today I made a list of MY opinion on the best hakas from the All Blacks 1 - 3. This is another bonus!!! I chose the Ab v F because the All blacks haka looked and sounded so powerful!!! I hope you like it :)

Day 6. 17 Winter learning journey. Three events this year.

Three events this year in Nz !!!

• Matariki

• ANZAC Day

• Easter

Today I chose three special events this year. I chose Matariki because its a new year for Maori's and there are 9 stars in the sky shinning bright. I also chose ANZAC day because it honors the people that went to war. Easter also celebrates the Christians. I hope you like it :)

Day 6. 16 Winter learning journey. My poem.

My mind turning and twisting as my stomach was turning too. The fresh breeze blew me away as I wandered around with my group. The land was wonderful and there were many flowers that I have never seen. I started to relax as my group took pictures as a memory. Leaves fell from trees and my group was amazed. The sky was blue like the sea and ocean as clouds covered parts of the blue one by one. The water swayed like wheat in the wind and the grass also swayed within the rhythm. Everything was perfect here and I could call this our new home.

today I wrote a poem about what would happened when I first arrived in New Zealand. I hope you like it :)

Day 5: 15 Winter learning journey BONUS. Cycle or not...

I think cycling would be a great idea because its a great way to get outside and get some exercise. Plus it would be fun with my family. So yes I would love to one day :) Also this is a bonus :D

Day 5. 14 Winter learning journey. DLO on Rachel Hunter.

Today I made a DLO on Rachel Hunter. She is a famous New Zealand model and is on top 10 famous New Zealand people. HOPE YOU ENJOY :)

Day 5: 13 Winter learning journey. What happened next? Story .

My mind spinning thinking of bad animal attacks. I dashed through the trees hoping to find Curious Kiwi and the group… My eyes looking all around as a ran trying to spot someone from my group. I had to stay brave so I stopped and took a deep breath in and out. *sigh* The air was so fresh and I could hear animals all over. Their noise and foot steps, plus it was going dark and I could see bright tiny stars in the sky.The leaves crunched as I stepped on them. I caught attention to a cute brown kiwi. I took a  quick shot and kept going. I then had noticed a path leading to a camp. I ran towards the light to see my group! I was glad and they asked me where I was at.



Today I made a story that has 10 sentences in it. It has to be very detailed but I think I did a great job. I made this story on a google doc. HOPE YOU ENJOY :)

Day 4: 12 Winter learning journey BONUS. Dolphins.

I think that they should banned it because they are killing many animals and rare ones like Hectors dolphin !!! They should fish some where else instead. Dolphins are actually one of the smartest and kind full animals in the whole world !!!







Today I made MY opinoin on wither we should banned fishing in farewell spit because they could kill animals.  But I hope you enjoy :) Also this is my 4th bonus!!!

Day 4. 11 Winter learning journey. A short summary on Whale rider.

A boy will be the next chief and will ride the whale like the others did, so he will be one of the “Whale Riders”.





Today I wrote a short summary about the two trailers "Whale riders" using google doc. Hope you like it :) I rate this 6 out of 10.

Day 4: 10 Winter learning journey. How they saved all 300 of them...

Today my next activity is to write how the local people save 300 whales...! This draw will tell you the important parts of how they saved 300 of them. HOPE YOU ENJOY :)

Day 3: 9 Winter learning journey. Free or non free...

Predator free.

• We shouldn’t have them in New Zealand because they kill tons of birds even chicks !

• They eat kiwis,Harrier hawk and even a fantail...

• They also eat berries and nectar and that is what birds eat, so the possums are trying to starve them to death!!!

Today I have made a google doc about MY opinion about either New Zealand being Predator free or non predator free. Here they are. I HOPE YOU ENJOY :)

Day 3: 8 Winter learning journey. The Tuatara.

Today I blogged about the Tuatara and about them. This is another activity for the Winter Learning Journey! We had to chose a native New Zealand animal and write some facts about them. I chose the Tuatara because I know it the most out of all the other animals and its one of my favourite native New Zealand animals !
