Day 3: 9 Winter learning journey. Free or non free...

Predator free.
  • We shouldn’t have them in New Zealand because they kill tons of birds even chicks !
  • They eat kiwis,Harrier hawk and even a fantail...

  • They also eat berries and nectar and that is what birds eat, so the possums are trying to starve them to death!!!




Today I have made a google doc about MY opinion about either New Zealand being Predator free or non predator free. Here they are. I HOPE YOU ENJOY :)

    Hi Nyjah. I agree with you pests like possums should be removed. They are doing a lot of harm to our native animals and plants. Keep up the great work.

    Pests do kill a lot of things and steal food that native animals need to survive but don't you think that they're trying to survive?
