Today I read the same book as last time but this time I answered questions and got 9 out of ten!

Angle degree

Our L.I was to measure the angle degree.This week I worked with Chavda and Charlize to measure the angle degree of a fraction. We did one slide each and measured them. The more people in our group then the more slides we had because each person could measure one fraction and put it on the slide.

Celebrations around the world

 Our L.I This week for  inquiry is to find out more celebrations like Matariki. This week I worked alone finding other celebrations  around the world  for my inquiry post this week. Some celebrations in the world in my post is not related to Matariki but this post explains why they celebrate their holiday or celebration like how we do.

Danny champion of the world.

The L.I for this week is to interact and comprehend narrative texts. This week I did a newspaper report on Danny the champion of the world. In the newspaper it tells that his father  tells him that he has been pouching all a long and told him what pouching was and what they do. Danny didn't care but as long  as his dad was okay then he was okay too.

Word problems

This week our maths group did another task for maths. That was writing our own word problems and us solving them in two ways. Our real maths work was us running the length of the hall and walking the length of the court. This was a independent task for this week so we could put this under other. This was a bit of a challenge for me because it took me a while to solve my own problem two times.

Smart commenting - Part two commenting on other peoples blog posts.

This week for cyber smart we commented on someones blog from LS2 and Tamaki Primary. I commented on my brothers blog Jericho and Perenara's blog. They did very good work and Jerichos work was on how much rubbish we drop and the highest amount of rubbish collected was snacks,Food packets and food scraps. Perenaras blog post was about what her clock would look like and I like how she designed her two clocks and the things she loves. Running the length of...

Our L.I / Learning intention was to measure time. This week Infinity went out to the hall and court. We ran the whole length and timed them. After we had timed everyone we had to plus them all. As you can see we walked the length of the court and ran the length of the hall. Our score for walking is 236 for the milliseconds and the seconds were 115. Our score for the hall is 208 and 63.

Piece and sytems - BRAIN

 Today for inquiry we had to work in group of three and work on three slides. We basically had to do the BRAIN slides. We had to write a lot of information in it. Each slide one of us worked on it so we got the job done faster like Chavda did the first slide and Marieta did the second and I did the third.

L.I: To interact and comprehend a range of narrative texts.I learnt a variety of different things about Roald Dahl throughout finding information for the task. In pairs, we googled different and certain information about Roald Dahl. We made a google draw an posted 2 pictures of Roald Dahl to show what he looked like and attributed them both. We also posted the book that we are currently reading of his and a link that takes you to information about the book. Most of these facts are about what happened in his life. Interesting fact he wrote all of his books under a patch under his garden floor.

Narrative checking

Today Our  L.I to write a narrative. For our task this week we had to chose a partner to check their work and they would check ours. Our stories is about a big swamp monster kills Jack on Halloween and then Jill kills the monster and the monsters soul transfers to Jacks body. When the monsters soul came back to his body he came back alive. After we finished we had to blog this and our comments.

An Exciting Hook.

L.I To write an exciting hook. I learnt how to write a exciting hook. I learnt by using my imagination on what kinds of hooks I should use for example: Bang! The thunder was coming closer every shock. I was jumped and tried to overcome my fear of lightning. Something like this. An exciting hook brings attention to people and makes them want to read your story more.

I learnt by asking a friend for help and reading more into the book to know what the word was about. We had to write 10 words we didn’t know in Danny The Champion Of The World. After we did that we had to ask a friend or read more so that we understood the word inside of the book.

Compare and Contrast.

I learnt by knowing about what compare and contrast is already. I also worked with Avalon for this activity.  What we had to  do was compare a piece and a system and contrast them both too. We had to write the compares in the middle box and the contrast in the system and piece box.

Liquid Volume

Our L.I is to learn how to measure the liquid volume. I learnt to get better at measuring liquid volume and finding it while getting better at attributing. We learnt by following the instructions on what to do. We had to find the mL and convert it to the Litre or convert Litres Into mL. After we were sent of we had to find four photos of containers with liquid in them like dish soap, Cans and Bottles. After we found four photos we had to attribute them and find the mL and convert it into the litres. After we did that we just had to add a description about the object and the mL and the litres.

Piece of technology and systems

I learnt what the kinds of technology and systems we use and what's the difference. I learnt by using my prior knowledge on what I already knew. I learnt that  technology  are forks , spoons , knives whisks and much more. also technology systems are things that make our life’s better like a beater and a kettle. I was also working with Avalon and Marieta.

Narrative planning

Last week I already started but on my orientation and the settings. We based this planning of our own story of Jack and Jill. The story was about Jack killed by the monster but Jill slays the monster and the monsters soul transfers to Jack and he comes back alive.

I learnt by following instructions on what to do. After we were set off we had to chose out of the books we read. I used the lorax. For the making connections chart we had to do Text to text, Text to self and Text to world. For the making connections chart we had to find a sentence that’s similar to a text, Something that happened to you or something that happened in the world. For the point of view chart we had to explain what the characters wanted or saw.

I did Mojtaba’s work. He gave his one to me and I gave mine to him. I had to use my times table too to get the answer. We had to count the squares in the width and height. When we finished we checked each others to see if it was right too.
