Tennis
Today LS2 participated in another fun lesson of Tennis with Peter. The new skill we learnt was "Volley." Volley is having a iron grasp on the racket and having a short but swift movement with your wrist that hits the ball over. My partner and I was able to volley the ball back to each other after a few minutes of adjusting to the technique and practice. Although, I have created a google draw that compares my movements to a very famous tennis player Serena Williams.

Today for kiwi sport was with miss shanice. We played Kia-O-Rahi again! But this time we were able to find out what the rolls and spots were. This was a great game but we also played a demo game of Kia-Or-Rahi.

LS2 Kiwi Sport
Today LS2 met there new Kiwi Sport teacher Shaniece. She taught us about the Legend of Rahi game. We firstly learnt about the legend of rahi to get a reference about the game we were going to play. Although this is how the story started. Firstly the story of how it started was when the wifi got kidnapped from the village... This caused the village to seek out to find her. If you would like to know what happened please click this Link. After wards we ended up played three games. The first was Taniwha vs Kiamai. Next was Netball and then The legend of Rahi game / Key game/

This week our touch rugby teacher taught us some of the basic rules in touch rugby. After LS2 group B learnt the basics of passing backwards, side ways and forwards. Some times people don't allow people to pass forward but for now it kinda makes it easy for us.

Kiwi sport
This week for Kiwi sport this is our 2nd to last session! Kevin this week taught us the back hand lift. The back hand lift is the same as the for hand lift just different style for others. Each hand is easy for different people. We then had one on one relay and then got in partners. Me and Fui was king for 12 times and was really happy at the end.

L.I to learn a new skill
kiwi sport we learnt a new skill! We learnt how to weaken each other by making them run lots in badminton. Our skill was to hit the shuttle as far as we could at the enemy's free space or where they are not at. This was a really fun badminton session. But this is our 2nd or 3rd to last time going to kiwi sport which is a shame because this has been my favourite sport surprisingly! A big thanks to Kevin for helping us teach new things and our past teachers!

Kiwi Sport
This week at Kiwi sport group b learnt a new serve called the "For hand serve". This serve was a bit harder for me as I am not that good with my for hand grip. We learnt the serve then had a quick practice before rally's. After about 3 minutes we got into a pair and vs other teams. Me and Fui were able to beat quit a few teams and become the masters! This weeks Kiwi Sport at badminton was really fun!

Today group B (6s and 5s) Went to badminton. My buddy was Fui and we collaborated with each other to do the back hand rally. This week was really fun and our warm up was everyone's it. Kevin taught us heaps this week and we all hope to go next week! Also we had some people come up and show what they got and what they learnt but not only that but also to show others examples! We all can not wait for next weeks badminton session with Kevin!

Badminton
L.I to buddy up and hit the badminton shuttle to each other as many times in a row.
This week for Badminton there was not much people as half of the class was at touch. The badminton session was really fun as me and Sandra could control hitting to each other. Also we surprisingly had the most hits in a row! The session this week though was a bit shorter than expected and for others it was a bit hard for not only them but a little bit for us. This week with Kevin was very fun but we did want more time to play but no only us but others too.

L.I to learn Badminton
This week LS1 has gone to find out what we will be doing at Kiwi Sport today. Our teacher Kevin is a professional Badminton player and has been playing for a while now. After group ones session had past we first played stuck in the mud for a warm up game. The taggers was me and Mele. Although there was heaps of people we still manged to tag a lot of people. After a 5 or 4 minute game of stuck in the mud we Kevin had set a couple rules when playing with our rackets and shuttles. Rule one is to never hit people or swing them around,2 never use them as swords and three never hit someone with your shuttle. We were then set off to start juggling with our shuttles. After 3 or 4 minutes Kevin stopped us to learn some tricks. The under leg and around our back. I really enjoyed it although it was hard. Then it was time to test our real skills and start to have a juggling battle. The two winners had to compete against them. The winners were Jonathan and Julian. The winner was Julian but that still didn't let Jonathan down. It was time to go and we all had a amazing time and hope to go next week and for the rest of the term.

Run,jump throw
This week for Kiwi sport we did high jump. Our warm up game was octopus. Octopus was a very fun game but then we practiced high jump. After practice we really jumped over the stick. I tried going even higher each time. The last time I jumped I tried jumping as high as I can and almost failed. Andy was a great teacher and helped me jump over the stick. I hope we do kiwi sport again and get better and better at jumping, throwing and running.

Kiwi sports
This week for kiwi sport Andy came in and we did jumping skills. One of the skills is to do shoulders width apart and bent knees. It was really fun and we learnt heaps from Andy. Andy is a very skilled teacher as she has been teaching us the last past 3 years that I remember of. The last game we did was rock paper jump. This game contains two teams and dots. We have to jump on the dots or outside of the dots and when we meet we got to play rock paper scissors.
